After talking about dating individuals who are educated and put together, Jessica and I posed the question, “How many black men are educated, doing their thing, AND checking on the black women?” hmmm…Maybe we should date the “OTHERS” and enter the world of interracial dating.
This topic (of course) got HEATED…you don’t want to miss it and you will DEFINITELY want to comment on this one.
All I’m going to say is I’m leaving the pissy, public pool and jumping into the ocean.

i would have to say that there many educated black men dating black women, but what i have found from observation is that even when a black man dates a black women fellow black women begin to hate on her. SO my question is, is it even a matter of race in regards to dating or is it just a contest of who has who?

The views expressed in this episode by the brothers were embarrassing. I used to take this to heart when I first started listening, but with clarity and distance, I’ve been able to discern that a lot of this negativity is relative to the environment.
This whole black people dating other races bandwagon started in Los Angeles, and pretty much ends in Los Angeles. It’s not an epidemic. I don’t hate on it, I just don’t do it myself. Most black men that I know LOVE black women and would only marry black women. This so-called animosity between us is inbred by mis-perception and immaturity.
I think what’s most annoying about this episode is the nitpicking. Men complaining about women’s attitudes and women angry that the brothers are jumping ship. Frankly, and this is as real as it gets, brothers out here are weak (for the most part), and most of the women are have never known better to compare.
The sexiest thing about the black union is HAVING the shared ‘burden’ of being black. However, when we have those victories, like the election of our first black president and the beauty of our first black family, there are also those shared unspoken triumphs, too.
There’s a wealth of material to love about the layers and LAYERS of nuances in a black woman, and any man never confuses that depth for ‘attitude’.
Again, I’m not hating on brothers or sisters that choose to date interracial. My resentment comes in the REASONS these folks cross over. I just hate that the younger generation (the generation below mine at 34) doesn’t see the beauty in their own before they go chasing everyone else.

Check this out the dude (kendrick) the one that prefers to date white women is soooo full of S#@t! Ladies you are not going crazy those niggaz are frontin. When those niggaz are walking with those white women pass a black man those punks do have that same look that you were describing. Those NIGGAZ duck their heads or try like a mutha not to catch eye contact! I am a BLACK MAN I’ve been checking out Tony Costa’s shows for going on 2 years or longer (even through the long layoff between shows (Costa’s World & Zombie Radio) and this is the 1st time that I have ever commented on any show. All I have to say is Tony you must vet your guess and make sure that they are honest and don’t bullsh!t your listeners.

I find this refreshing. I stumbled on this site while researching a bit and will surely visit back. I’m into dating, well, not litterally since I’m married, but rather in an accidemic sort of way. I find it an interesting subject, and also enjoy reading what others have to say on the subject. I’ve never been a success myself, but I did find somebody.. on-line, the perfect somebody and am now happly married. For those still in the game, good luck too you. Umm.. sorry for rambling.. anyhow, I will check back often.
